How does our brain empathize with the pain of others? Empathic Machine is an interdisciplinary film project conducted by Jaewook Lee that explores the post-memory of the Korean War. The project is based on cognitive neuroscience for empathy called “Mirror Neurons.” The purpose of this project is to see how post-memory generations, such as the Korean people who never experienced the war, respond to the tragic history.
